Successful economic development results in real employment growth and skills development. Enterprise Whitsundays - as the region’s key economic development agency – recognises that employment growth is integral to the long term prosperity of the region. Aside from supporting business improvement, Enterprise Whitsundays actively facilitates employment in a number of ways;

Work in the Whitsundays is our local jobs board. A popular website that lists local job opportunities as well as a database of available workers, including resumes and skill categories. Enterprise Whitsundays maintains this site and encourages local employers to list their vacancies and search for candidates.

Special projects – Enterprise Whitsundays is currently negotiating several opportunities to identify and develop skills formation strategies in the Whitsunday region. This includes working closely with all employers, training providers and employment services providers. Stay tuned for more on this soon…

Education – he team at Enterprise Whitsundays is currently working closely with a university, TAFE, several major employers, a provider of student accommodation and numerous other parties interested in establishing a university campus with a hospitality and tourism focus in the Airlie Beach area.
